W S/W. (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) Copy to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X7800 Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}/Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}2/EDI/22-1-29. 21-EX and 22-EX. No decision has yet been taken concerning the head-lights to be fitted to these two cars. P-100 headlights with mechanical dippers must we fear be ruled out as they cannot possibly be obtained in time. We have sent you for other SS{S. Smith} cars P-100 lamps of various types, and we shall be glad to know which of these types you consider most suitable for 21-EX and 22-EX. We have had a word with EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} who thinks that, all things considered, the three-lamp arrangement with a change-over switch is probably the best scheme. However, if you will let us know what you consider most suitable, we will do our best to obtain the lamps for you. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} would like to be at W. when the bodies are mounted on these two chassis Nos. 21-EX and 22-EX so that he may see exactly what is involved with a view to re-designing the sub-frame. Will you accordingly let us know, also by return, when the bodies will actually be mounted, assuming that they are collected on Saturday next. We would like to have this information at once as EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will be in London to-morrow and we wish to discuss both matters with him. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
