C O P Y. To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from CJ. c. to C. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} CJ11/E21.3.22. GOSHAWKS. I learn from C. that the car, which you are taking to France today, is not to be put immediately on the 10,000 miles Trial run at express speed, but that the opinion is that you intend to drive this yourself and to keep it under your eye with a view to discovering improvements. This second car must be the express car, as it is imperative that the 10,000 miles should be finished at the earliest possible date. The third car should go to R.{Sir Henry Royce} The fourth car should be for the amateur car test. The fifth chassis need not be made but the limousine can be brought up-to-date. Presumably the first chassis will be brought back to Derby by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, in order to carry out the alterations suggested by Mr. Royce? CJ. | ||
