RE. ONE-PIECE STARTING HANDLE

We have found a place on the Phantom III Chassis where this handle could be carried and JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} agrees that carried in this position it would not interfere with the fitting of the road tools, which is done by the Coachbuilders.

The position we recommend this handle should be carried in is along the nearside bonnet rest plate. It would mean carrying it in spring clips and I have made up a sample of these and am sending them along to you with the handle.

If you agree that this position is OK. I think we should have to make up these springclips and fit them whilst the chassis is being built, as it is impossible to bolt the clips down to the bonnet rest plate, once the rest plate is fitted to the chassis.

Perhaps you would send one of your draughtsmen into the Test Dept. and we will show him exactly where this position is.
