X1091 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Em.16/KW. 6th November, 1935. Captain Wilks, Managing Director, The Rover Co.Ltd., Coventry. Dear Capt. Wilks, Referring to your letter of November 5th, the last 4 lots of figures are incorrect. These all refer to the Cadillac V-16. Stiffness of the bare frame, overall - 1000 lbs.ft.per degree. Stiffness of the frame only from the dash to the rear wheels - 1500 " " " " With the body fitted, these two figures become - Overall - 3200 " " " " Dash to rear wheels - 6700 " " " " Incidentally, with the body fitted on the Cadillac the stiffness from the dash to the front wheels is - 6100 " " " " With regard to the Staff share scheme, one point in which I am interested and which I did not mention on the 'phone the other day was how the available shares were shared out amongst the staff and who were included in the staff. I have sent the cylinder block off for plating. Yours sincerely, | ||
