With reference to your memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/P13/F15.4.20,
We consider that pure castor oil is quite satisfactory for lubricating aero engines. It is much better than pure mineral oils. Great care should be taken to ensure that the castor oil is free from acids.
