Modification to the brake leverage on Phantom II models, with a recommendation for retrospective fitting.

-2- R.1/4.L.T.2.30. BRAKES. A modification was made on Phantom 11's altering the direct action leverage between the foot pedal and the rear brake shoes, and at the same time the angle of the Servo cams was modified. This was required as the foot pedal came down on the floor boards due to wear of the shoes too rapidly if the brakes were used severely. As this may prove dangerous in an emergency, we recommend that this modification is made retrospectively by changing the parts on all cars when they come into our Depots. Rg.{Mr Rowledge} | ||
