Re Weighing of motor car parts.

Each of the draughtsmen should take the present weight of the car and at the end of the month should give a list of weights of the various parts he has added to the car. From this might be deducted the weight of the parts displaced, if any, and the answer to this subtraction, whether positive or negative, should be added to or subtracted from the weight of the chassis.

At the end of each month the amount of weight added or reduced by each of the chief draughtsmen should be summed up and the result taken to form the weight of the chassis for the next month's balance sheet.

The weight of the chassis, however, when this scheme commences, should be mentioned on every balance sheet and a statement should be made at the
