Dear Mr. Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter of the 29th ultimo relative to wheel discs. I note what you say about the disadvantage of their weight and that they emphasize axle noises. On the other hand, they certainly improve the appearance of the car and save a considerable amount of labour and washing.

My new Bentley is going quite well but it is not as fast as the original one I had.

The Park Ward body is certainly standing up better than the old one, but it has developed innumerable noises which vary with the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere. In fact, it is a distinctly noisy body at moderate speeds.

I examined the H.J. Mulliner body on your stand at Olympia, and I should think the flexible construction which they have adopted is probably the soundest one for this type of car.

Sincerely yours,

Bernard Hopps.
