Re: Phantom Engines for Tanks.

With reference to the suggestion yesterday that you should visit the Tank Depot at Farnborough tomorrow in order to look over one of the tanks which will be suitable to take the Phantom ll engine, we have been on to General Peck this morning and he states that he does not think it would be much good doing that, as at the moment he has the Phantom engine under consideration for a new design of tank which he is producing, and he will be clearer in a week's time as to what he will want to do.

He has instructed me to get in touch with him again [handwritten: in one week]. In the meantime he would like a copy of the Phantom ll engine power curve. Will By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please let me have this.
