Referring to Hsl/LG22.4.27. and the paragraph wherein you say that the cost of wheels is soon repaid by the cheaper price of Tyres, BJ. has asked me to call your attention to the fact that whereas the cost of six wheels for 40/50 HP. Chassis may be £21. and the cost of five wheels on a 20 HP. £15-10-0. the Customers would have to pay £35/14/-. for six wheels on a 40/50 HP. and £27-5-0. for five wheels on a 20 HP. and the saving in retail price of Tyres is about £9. in the case of a 40/50 HP. and about £3. in the case of a 20 HP. so that you will see a Customer would have to use up a good many sets of Tyres extending over several years, before he repaid his initial wheel expenses. Then again, in each case on 40/50 HP. and 20 HP. with FWB's. as you point out, the Customer would have to pay for Hydraulic Dampers. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
