EXPTL. DEPT. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.19/KW. 20th April, 1934. Messrs. Klaxon Ltd., 36, Blandford Street, London, W.1. For the attention of Mr. C.R. Gentry. Dear Sirs, We are at present testing a Phantom II chassis in France under our strenuous 10,000 miles test conditions. During a run in a storm one of the screws of the link motion of the near side Klaxon Wiper fell out and jammed in the teeth of the mechanism. The front panelling had to be taken down to gain access to this part. We thought you would be interested to know of this failure and possibly take steps to prevent the screw in question working loose. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
