Dear Sirs, With reference to your telephone conversation and letter of 27th October re a further Car Radio Unit complete with aerial and jiffy plates, this set has been put in hand and will be despatched to you to-day complete with under chassis aerial and 6 ft. lead-in as on the previous model. The delay has been caused by making up these special jiffy plates and also having one of our standard dials hand darkened as on the previous set. When examining this dial please bear in mind that this is purely a temporary measure and has been done by hand and is, therefore, not as neat or as nice as a printed dial will be. We are arranging with our printers now to submit some samples of blackened dials carrying white figuring and as soon as these are available we will let you have two dials to replace the hand made samples you already have. With reference to a third set you may be ordering having a tone control fitted, this can easily be arranged and we are already having some experiments carried out to find a suitable tone control for this set. We should like you to let us know where you would like this tone control fitting. Perhaps it will be inconvenient to fit it either on the set or the power unit as this would be too inaccessible. We suggest that we bring it out from the set with a separate lead and a little bracket and that you mount it in any convenient place as near to the control as possible. We should be pleased to have your comments on this suggestion as soon as possible. | ||
