STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.

Description of Parts.
Exide 6 BXE5 Battery with -
(1) Independently supported positive and negative elements. (Contd on att.sheet).

Origin.
This being the result of further discussion between ourselves and the Chloride Co. as to how to further ensure the reliability of cells in service.

Experimental Test Report.
We have recently received three batteries with the above modifications, the cells of one of which have been taken to pieces for our own and Mr. Royce's inspection. The second is being put through expl. bench tests including vibration tests, and the third has been placed on 1 Ex for road trial.

Road Test Report.
(Not yet available).
N.B. This standardisation sheet is being sent through for signatures previous to completion of tests, as it is considered it will be agreed to by all concerned that these modifications are obvious definite improvements. An opened-up cell may be inspected at any time in the elecl. section of the dept.
