Copy to Clark. Bendix Co. ILLSLEY COMPANY PRECISION AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT DETROIT OFFICE: WEBSTER HALL HOTEL PHONE: COLUMBIA 0100 TELEPHONE 327-119 MUSKEGON MICHIGAN August 1st 1934 Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Rolls Royce Ltd, Derby ENGLAND Dear Mr. Robotham;- With further reference to our letter of a fortnight ago,- Your friend Mr. Clarke may be interested in knowing that we have just received word of Mr. Railton's entire satisfaction with valves he ordered from us a year ago via an importing firm, who have just written us to this effect, and ordered more for him. Likewise is word last week from Mr. S. C. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Davis, the sports editor of AUTOCAR, who has also been using the product for over a year, and with such complete success as to have written suggesting that we bring the device to the attention of entrants in this summer's Alpine trials. He too wanted more valves. Whether or not we do any business with Mr. Clarke or your Company, we wish as a point of fact, to provide every opportunity for you to see that there was no basis for Cuno's implications. We trust therefore that both the above gentlemen will be asked whether they have found any trouble with the product. Very truly yours, ILLSLEY COMPANY [Signature] E W Illsley | ||
