DELETION OF OIL COOLER - PHANTOM III.

Further to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}3/MC.25.1.38., we give below the cost of scrap material if the oil cooler were deleted at 101st chassis in 'D' series.

A reduction in factory cost of £1.16.1d., per chassis is provided by deleting the oil cooler and fitting a blanking plate to the crankcase, but after making due allowance for the above scrap, the saving for the 2nd 100 chassis in 'D' series would be reduced to £1.6.0d., per chassis.
