Re 20/25 HP. Brakes.

There have only been 15 of the B.2. series chassis finally tested by us so far and I have tried a number of these after they have had the hose played on the brakes and find there is a considerable variation in the efficiency of the brakes and "juddering".

In some cases, where a high pressure hose has been used on the wheels, the car has to be driven with the brakes on for some while and until the brakes have completely dried off there is quite an amount of "juddering" when pulling up.

When an ordinary hose is used, particularly on a car fitted with discs, the brakes are not effected nearly so much.

One point, which I think will be very annoying to customers, is that there is "juddering" until the brakes are quite dry.

The first 20/25 HP. which you tried on Saturday and which, you will recollect, "juddered" badly, was sent back to the Coachbuilders at Willesden and the Tester reports the "juddering" was still bad when he got there and the only way he could overcome this was to drive the car with the brakes hard on for a further period.
