The following decisions were made at a Conference held on June 27th. between Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG/RCG. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG/RJH. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Bastow and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1. BASIC TYPE OF BODY. The body would be considered primarily as a four light saloon, i.e. the four light would not be spoiled in order to make the production of six light easy. It was agreed that a six light would have to be considered but that it would be permissable to assume that this car would have different rear doors. 2. HEADLAMPS POSITIONS. It was decided that these would be in or on the catwalk. 3. COVER FOR THE REAR WINGS. It was agreed that the rear wings would almost certainly be without covers when the body was in production. However, a sample wing would be produced with a cover. 4. WHEEL APPEARANCE. It was agreed that the wheels would be as on 12.B.V., but scaled down. 5. BASIC DIMENSIONS. The following basic dimensions were decided on: (a) Floor to the cantrail = 3' 8½" (b) Floor to rear seat cushion compressed = 13" (Rover figure 13½") - Continued - | ||
