Messrs.Rolls-Royce Limited,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

We beg to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of your letter of the 21st inst., and we are glad to inform you that we have now received a cable from the King-Seeley Corporation stating that your two gauges were sent by registered letter post on the 20th inst.

In the usual way, registered parcel post taken about twenty days from King-Seeley Corporation to this building, but we have every hope that as these are coming by registered letter post, they will get here more quickly. However it all depends on the delay which may occur in the Post Office Customs at this end.

We estimate that we should have the gauges in this building before Whitsun, so that if things turn out as we hope, we shall be able to post them to you on Saturday the 7th June. You will, however, realise that we are in the hands of the Post Office in this matter.

We remain, Dear Sirs,

Yours faithfully,

H.M.Hobson Limited,

(Signed) T.P.Seawright.

Joint Managing Director.
