X. 8260 X. 8250 The new experimental radiators and bonnets to be made should be of the latest type to make the radiator with integral shutters - look as thin as possible - i.e. (1) The neatest design, saving as much as possible - i.e. .1 minimum clearance for air coming out of the side tubes. (2) Smaller tubes, 7/6.25 mm. (3) Shorter tubes, 4" for Phantom. (4) Side plate forming tank (single side plate) acting as sooling surface. No money should be spent on high shouldered bonnets, etc. The new bonnet catch seems to act extremely well: it however should be less xx expensive, and lighter. There is also the older pattern improved to permit the same way of handling the bonnet as the R.{Sir Henry Royce} pattern. I am in favour of deleting the shutters, and only making louvred and plain bonnets. Our sports car should have a plain bonnet. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
