CHANGE SPEED GATE - ALL CHASSIS.

With reference to memo' Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}17/AP.27.8.37., reading as follows:-

"RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} has asked whether we need any longer chromium plated change speed gates and engrave the gear positions on them. The Wraith gate is dull nickel plated with no lettering.

We agree to this proposal and recommend its adoption on P.III, 25/30 and Bentley, without of course any scrap.

It will be necessary for every car to have a leather cover over the gate and this must be added to the Coachbuilder's print or supplied with the chassis."

Please note, as far as we are concerned, we shall discontinue to Chromium plate, etc., as follows:-

170th chassis in 'C' Series.
56th chassis in 'L' Series.
199th chassis in 'P' Series.

Will the D.O. please issue instructions to all concerned.

RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/JMW.
