For the attention of Mr. Harris.

Dear Sirs,

Bentley Carburetter Float Chamber Needles.

A query has been raised by our Production Test Dept. as to which type of needle is standard; that is to say, the angle of the needle.

Enclosed are 3 needles removed from three carburetters in the Test Dept., all of which differ in angle. We realize the angle was altered when we had the flooding epidemic, but did not know that there were two or three alterations made.

Will you please enlighten us upon this matter, also please advise us officially in the future of any alteration likely to take place and the reason for that alteration.

We do not appear to have had any trouble with either of the enclosed type of needle, but owing to past experience of flooding, we are rather anxious as to the margin of safety we have.

When replying please let us know the angles of these needles, and the approximate dates they were placed on production.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
