X1775 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.19/KW. 8th September, 1934. Messrs. Thos. Firth & John Brown Ltd., Atlas & Norfolk Works, SHEFFIELD. Dear Sirs, We are requiring a flat mirror, 12" x 4", in connection with some optical apparatus which we are using. We are anxious to avoid Parallax and it occurs to us that a stainless steel mirror would be the best for our purpose. We should be glad to know whether you are in a position to supply this or, if not, whether you can suggest a firm who is. The mirror need not be optically flat in the strictest sense of the word, but the angle of reflection should not show deviations of more than 1 minute over the surface. We wish the mirror to be some 1/4" thick. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
