SHAFT. OUT OF BALANCE AT FLYWHEEL END (OZS.INS). OUT OF BALANCE AT FRONT END (OZ.INS). J-4-B. 0.5 1.1 K-4-C 1.0 1.0 K-5-C 1.9 1.1 K-6-C 1.8 0.2 K-7-C 2.2 0.8 Note. The first shaft, J-4-B, was one which had been returned from Test to be checked (it had come from a particularly rough engine, and it was necessary to ensure that the shaft was not responsible). This was correctly balanced, after above check, by drilling flywheel and removing a portion of the front end balance weight, to within 0.1 oz.in. before returning to Test Dept. C.E.Steadman. | ||
