(4) BRAKES.

We should like to be running the Phantom ll car brakes with wider drums.

(5) STEERING.

This is one of our big problems on the Phantom. We have been recently carrying out tests with some bought out type steering gears fitted to our cars. We think the information gained may help us to make some improvement but the tests so far are not complete.

(6) SILENCER.

The resonance type silencer is excellent as regards absence of booms and so far has only been fitted to Continental cars because of the exhaust "chuffiness" at low speeds. We think that a larger capacity than the existing one would quite overcome this and make a silencer which would be satisfactory on all types.

(7) RADIATOR.

We are having now to satisfy certain customers re. overheating complaints and have agreed to fit a ribbon type matrix. We think we should carry out tests with this on Phantom ll with a view to its general adoption because of its increased efficiency, reduced weight, and reduced cost.

Generally, the position is that we have now standardised all the improvements we have running and therefore it is time to get out a specification for the next batch of improvements and fit up a car with them.
