Professor Dodds' Car.

This is to confirm our telephone conversation that chassis B-34-GA arrived at midday yesterday.

I personally spent most of the afternoon on it, trying to reproduce some of the misfiring troubles complained of, but the car behaved perfectly both at high and low speeds; light running and under load. It was rather better in every respect than the average standard Bentley.

In view of the fact that Professor Dodds has suffered a considerable amount of inconvenience due to misfiring on his car, we are particularly anxious to clear the matter up finally, and for this reason we welcome the opportunity of sending our head experimental tester down to find out exactly what the trouble is of which Professor Dodds is complaining. Without knowing something further it would of course be futile to change the engine unit.

We have in mind that if we could trace the trouble to lead we could then arrange the car so that it would run on Discol, which would give the same freedom from detonation, and should eliminate the plug trouble. In case this is found desirable we have prepared the necessary carburetters and petrol pumps.
