Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}8/JH.4.4.40.

Minutes of a Meeting held at the Works of
Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden, Birmingham
to discuss body hardware on Wed:
April 3rd. 1940.

Present :- Mr. Breeden and members of his
staff, Mr. Ward, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, Mr. Green,
Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/ID. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PD.

On the table was spread out the hardware
of a production B.V. body, which had been supplied by
Mr. Ward, and the hardware of the Rover body supplied
by Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden.

Items on the list of hardware were
taken in order :-

(1) Outside Door Handles.

The design of the Park Ward outside door
handle was approved and generally agreed to be a very
pleasing and sensible shape, whilst no difficulty was
seen in producing it.

It was agreed that the present system of
using a separate private lock should be retained for
high class coach work, but that consideration should be
given to the Rover scheme of escutcheon to the door
handle and integral lock.

Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is to supply a sample switch lock
barrel, so that a common barrel may be used for all
body locks.

P.W. Price of single handle with small
escutcheon 1/3d.
W.B. Rover plain handle 1/4d. 2/5 1/2 d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} with lock.

Mr. Ward was asked to give the price
for fitting a separate private lock.

Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
