6092. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}19/JH. 16th December, 1937. Messrs. Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, BIRMINGHAM. 19. For the attention of Mr. Toulmin. Dear Sirs, With reference to our conversation over the 'phone with Mr. C.E. Robinson in connection with two special regulators. We asked whether we could be supplied quickly with a regulator having a somewhat larger output than our standard BZCJ1 or BCJ1A We suggested an output of about 16 to 18 amperes at 13 volts cold, and thought that one having a 2½ turn series winding would be about right; on the assumption that our present one has a 3 turn winding. Two regulators type B.2.H1A were received yesterday but on checking one found that the output was no larger than that of our standard. We shall be glad to know if you can supply us with a regulator having the output indicated above; in the meantime we will await your reply before returning the two already received. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
