For the attention of Mr.Armitage.

Dear Sirs,

re Phantom III Clutches.

Confirming our 'phone conversation of this morning we now consider that it will be in order to make the cushion springs of the above clutch in .035 thick steel, in view of the fact that no supplies of the thinner material are available. Of the two cars fitted with the plates you sent us using these springs we could not detect any appreciable difference in the behaviour of the clutch, we would however, call your particular attention to the importance of having these springs made with as near as possible the same amount of cushioning in the springs on one clutch assembly.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
