The jaggering only occurs when the clutch is dry and the clutch should not be dry. Jaggers can be quite cured by applying oil to the clutch face. The spring coupling only reduces the jaggers and does not cure. If the spring coupling is used with a jaggering clutch it will be more likely to fail as the extra work of absorbing the jaggers will I feel sure cause the springs to break in a short time.
