A. {Mr Adams} Rowbotham Esq., Experimental Department, Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} , It may interest you to learn that we have improved our Buick a little bit and although there is still a very slight "flat spot" at the low end of the throttle, it is not nearly so bad as it was when we had the car on the track with you. The latest figures for this job at Brooklands are as follows:- Lap Speed (third lap timed) 88.9 m.p.h. Flying Mile (slight wind against us) 90.4 " 0 - 50 m.p.h., through gears, 11.4 secs. 10 - 50 m.p.h., in top gear, 13.5 secs. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, Rod Banks | ||
