I think you may reassure our customer that this tyre pump will do no harm to the engine, providing the thread by which it is attached to the cylinder, is suitable. We have no practical experience with this pump, but I think the recent R.A.C. test should satisfy our customer that the device is workable.

From a consideration of the design I think the scheme is fairly good, but I also think there may be some danger of lubricating oil finding its way into the tyres. This might prove to be a serious objection.

I do not think we are called upon to give an opinion as to its liability or efficiency, but if you think otherwise we will obtain a set and run some tests.
