It seems it is quite impossible to design these so that they will invariably be adaptable for the many different types of front wings designed by various Coachbuilders, or requested by customers, and I suggest that we discontinue the fitting of these at the Factory, or go a step further and send Chassis out complete with wings, as well as wing irons. My reason for suggesting this is that I have seen so many cases where modifications have been more or less clumsily made in an endeavour to make these irons fit the wings required, or vice-versa.
