BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BI. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M27.2.28. X5430 X5770 X5380 INDIA 3. GENERAL ARRANGEMENT. Before R.{Sir Henry Royce} went away he instructed us to get the new long frame, and 'X' shaped cross member on to the next 10,000 mile India car, keeping the remaining components standard as far as possible. Hitherto we have not sent you a layout of this car shewing the resulting angle of transmission, height of frame, etc. We now send N. scheme 2554, giving these particulars, of which we have sent a print to R.{Sir Henry Royce}, and expect that we shall shortly get his comments. The final India car will have new front and rear axles, making a still further gain, but the next car we understand is to have existing axles. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
