Comparison and recommendation of a Lucas switch against a potential in-house design for Bentley cars.

It should be noted that the Lucas switch has a contact pressure of 7 lb. 2 ozs. against 2 lb. 3 ozs. obtained on that to ADD.123.

The Lucas unit is the best switch of the cheapened type which we have tested. If we are to design one of our own, we should go to the enclosed solenoid and plunger type, which is more efficient, and more robust than the hinged armature type. At the moment we can only recommend the Lucas T.J00 switch for fitting to the Bentley ll. and Bentley 30 cars.
