Regarding Phantom, as soon as possible we propose
DECIDED IMPROVEMENT. ME adopting the larger box .720 pitch worm, and 9 1/4" pendulum lever. (This latter will probably be friction damped.) Also stiffer springs in the longitudinal tube, or in damped pendulum lever.

For immediate use we propose using the slower worm
SMALL BUT DEFINITELY PERCEPTIBLE IMPROVEMENT. .94 instead of the present 1.125. This has for its object to render the steering slightly easier, slightly slower, and less road shocks. Also a 9 1/4" pendulum lever probably not friction damped, and slightly stiffer springs in the longitudinal tube, or in the damped pendulum lever.

The result of the above is either less road shock to the driver's hands, or more definite control of the car, according to the flexibility of the controlling springs. But unless we adopt the friction damped pendulum lever we have done nothing for slow speed wobbles.

NOTE. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will test the steering w box for efficiency and strength each way at varying loads, increasing the loads applied until the weak part of the box is found.

INDIA.
This demands no alteration at present, but would be improved by the slightly slower speed steering because it should definitely reduce the feeling of road shocks and with contd :-
