With regard to condition (3) it is thought that on the whole, production will be simplified and cheapened by turning from a smaller round bar and milling the head flats afterwards, as compared with turning from the present square bars.

Would you kindly instruct, in accordance with Mr. Royce's wishes, some bolts to be made with heads to the new design, in sufficient quantity and variety to carry out a test for standardisation.
