1332. DUNLOP RUBBER CO.,LTD. TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: "DUNLOPS, PHONE, BIRMINGHAM" TELEPHONE: ERDINGTON 2121 (P.B.X) EXTENSION No. 395. YOUR REF: OUR REF: HEP/BMT.208. FORT DUNLOP ERDINGTON BIRMINGHAM Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. For the attention of S.H.Grylls, Esq. 16th. March, 1937. Dear Sirs, Confirming our telephone conversation this morning, we have in hand a set of 4. 6.50-17 tyres which we are modifying by filling up the side studs and incorporating knife cuts. We have as yet no final promise for these tyres, but hope to have them in your possession towards the end of next week. As suggested, we are also putting in hand a mould for the 6.50-17 tyre to the latest pattern agreed between us, but this will not be available for production for approximately two months. We thank you for your confirmation that this size will probably be standardised on the WRAITH chassis, and may also be adopted on BENTLEY production. We have confirmed with our Wheel Works that they hope to despatch the 20. 4.00x17 wheels to your part GW.429, against order No: 36281, at the end of this week. Yours faithfully, FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.,LTD. [Signature] Manager, Car Manfrs. Division. | ||
