S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re- Speedometers. x 200 ? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}8/KW12.6.36. We note contents of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GRY{Shadwell Grylls}8/KW9.6.36. We are not satisfied we are doing the best we can on this question because we seem to be running into criticism, for having fast speedometers, on the part of Press people who are trying our cars. We have had two quite recently, one in The Autocar, and the other in The Morning Post. This is a point which, as you know, we have severely criticised on American cars. We are proposing, therefore, to discuss this matter fully at the next Conference at the Works, with a view to arriving at a more satisfactory compromise. Cx.{Major Len W.
