Oyl/DM.{D. Munro} May 20/30 -2- couplings, so that when the screen was open, only the arms were carried on the screen, and the heavy motor stayed behind on the cowl bar? I do not think there are any occasions when the wiper has to work with the screen open. There will be no difficulty in attaching vacuum wipers as there are several places on the manifold where the connection can be made. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} promises to fit two such wipers to the 2nd Expl. just to see what can be done without upsetting the distribution. Am not proposing to ask Derby to make the connection to the dash at this stage of the proceedings, as this has never been mentioned before and such things as the compression pipe- couplings, etc. are not obtainable here. Also our experience to date with solid engine feet and a different engine does not allow us to say exactly what we need for a satisfactory wiper connection on P.II. The fitting of the wiper connection on imported P.II's will not be an expensive matter. If you get any experience on these connections on R.H. P.II's would you send me prints? oy. | ||
