Report on anti-spill radiator cap valves, comparing an in-house design to the 'Camel' type.

Attached is a report from Steadman on our own anti-spill radiator valve compared with the "Camel" type of valve. I raised the point because in the U.S.A. with my thermostatically operated shutters working at about 85°C., I lost a certain amount of alcohol by evaporation, and this should not have happened if the valve had sealed the radiator properly. I think if we are designing any valves of this type for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III or Wraith, they should be of the "Camel" seat loading. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} carried out a test on a 20/25 with the actual Camel valves which we hand to you, and though he boiled the car furiously, did not get trouble from excessive back pressure.
