e/w. Won.. from Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. ex. RC.{R. Childs} RECEIVED 29 APR 1931 x7960 PN.{Mr Northey}4/WT28.4.31. 25 H.P. Springing. On the subject of the new rating for springs, there are four 25 H.P. cars in use by officials of the Co. in connection with demonstration :- GLR-59. GSR-14. Weymann. GLR-39 now being used by St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} GLR-77 " " " " AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson} Only the first has been fitted with the special springs, and these are at the front, and the rear springs ofthis car are now at N. and will be fitted to GLR-59 directly the car is available. Apparently it would appear desirable that the other three cars should have the advantage of these low rated springs in view of a certain amount of criticism which there has been of the other springing. I understand that Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} takes this view strongly, and if this is the case will you please arrange for springs for these cars to be sent to N., advising us, when we will take steps to have them fitted to the cars there.
