£3806 X 40381 Expl: Dept: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmL/LG. 8th. April 1929. Messrs. H.M.Hobson Ltd., 47-55 Acton Vale, London W.3. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Major Searight. We attach a report from France in connection with the last car to go out there. This car is a 40/50 HP. fitted with the latest balanced type hand pump gauge. It is running at high speeds and they have been having warm weather. You will notice that they have discovered another trouble in connection with the gauge and we do not quite know how to overcome it. I am suggesting putting a larger dia. section in the balance line to decrease the effect of the rise and fall of the telegage liquid in the dashboard unit. The car is being driven at high speeds continuously and perhaps this is why the trouble has become manifest although we have not previously noticed it. You will doubtless let us have your recommendations in due course. Yours faithfully, | ||
