Gearbox - Wraith.

The suggestion has been made by E/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} that the isolated gear lever may work satisfactorily without any universal joint between the change lever and the shaft, i.e. the lever is attached solidly to the shaft.

This modification would be of assistance to us on the Wraith owing to space limitations and would of course save expense and weight.

As it is an easy matter to try this idea with existing pieces we are sending herewith a print of N.Sch.4806 which shows what we suggest, and should be glad if this could be tried out at an early date so that we may know what to do for the Wraith.

We suggest that a Bentley should be used for the experiment in order to obtain the most severe conditions.

N.Sch.4806 herewith.
