Specification for a car with a Wraith engine fitted into a Vulture chassis.

+4704 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KW.20.3.35. Wraith Engine in Vulture Chassis. Herewith specification of what we should like for this car :- (1) Front axle moved back to centre of springs. (2) Dash to remain in Vulture position and radiator to come back as far as possible. (3) J-III synchromesh 2nd speed gearbox at present in SpectreCodename for Phantom III I, suitably positioned for gear lever; i.e., in original position in Vulture car. To have ground 25° obliquity gears. (4) A cross in the frame extending as far forward as possible. The brake differentials will have to move back and the battery find a new position. (5) A special clutch housing to hold front equaliser. (6) J-III hypoid 10/41 rear axle complete. (7) Present front axle unaltered. (8) New 16 x 6.50 wheels and tyres on 4.50 rims giving 3080 r.p.m. at 60 m.p.h. (9) Hardy Spicer propellor shaft. (10) J-III petrol tank reduced to 18 gallons + 2 gallons reserve. (11) Radiator as requested by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std. (12) Road Springs - Front 800 lbs. 4.5" deflection with flat loaded camber and 1.6" packing between axle and spring to increase ground clearance. Rear 1000 lbs. to F.58630 but with loaded camber .26 positive, and free camber 6.600. The buffer to be packed down 1.600". With regard to No. 4, will you let us have a sketch of the proposed parts.
