Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 24th Sept. 1937. A.{Mr Adams} Taub, Esq., Vauxhall Motors Ltd., LUTON, BEDS. Dear Taub, Thank you for the interesting time you gave us yesterday. I hope that you will keep your promise and come over here before very long to see what we are doing. Do not ring me up on Monday as the Works are closed, but I shall be here on Tuesday and Friday of next week. I think the piston development is most interest-ing. We are checking up on it right away. I will send the model back next week. If we apply this technique to our overhead camshaft engine, we ought to get some astonishing results. At present the overhead camshaft combustion chamber is, unfortunately, rather worse than the push rod combustion chamber for detonation at any given compression ratio. Yours sincerely, | ||
