Please quote our reference: E.2. 26th April 1935. Handwritten note: WST Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. West. re: Your Order 80810. Further to our letter of the 9th inst, and to your telephone conversation with Mr. Dorer, we beg to advise you that we are returning the three Tank Attachments with Warning Light contacts under separate cover. We carried out a number of tests on these and found that only one showed any signs of faulty contacts. This particular Tank Attachment was fitted with the earlier type of warning light contacts, and has now been converted to the latest type which seems to be quite satisfactory. Experiments with the larger diameter spring did not prove entirely successful and we think that you will find that the method we are now employing will meet your requirements. Assuring you of our best attention at all times. Yours faithfully, for St SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED. [Signature: A.S. Parnell.] ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.
