EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/JH. 22nd. June, 1939.

The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd.,
Honeypot Lane,
Stanmore,
MIDDLESEX.

Dear Sirs,

With further reference to the AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}25 carburetters recently ordered in our letter ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}8/JH.21.6.39.

We are troubled with starvation with this type of carburetter, on those carburetters already supplied, the maximum available flow has been as low as 80 pints per hour.

We require 130 pints per hour from a head of 3' 6", this we find cannot be obtained with the seatings as supplied.

Will you please look into this matter and incorporate the necessary modifications on the two carburetters already ordered. Also will you please supply the necessary bits and pieces for modifying the carburetters already in our possession. Six sets will be required.

It should be noted that from the point of view of flooding, these carburetters should be tested as per the Phantom III carburetter.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
