428 of 1153 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}12.6.39. B.V. GEARBOXES. We should have received by now from Hoffmanns, 6 side shaft roller bearings with steel cages. It is important that these bearings should be in the gearbox that goes to France in 30.G.VII, the gearbox that goes to France in 14.B.V. and also the box that we are shortly going to dynamometer test. We suggest you order from Hoffmanns at least another 12 of these bearings as replacements for those with bronze cages and for any new gearboxes to be built.
