x 3806. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}3/T18.7.29 OIL PUMP ON DASH In connection with the tests we have been carrying out on oil leaks of this part, we find there is an oil leak from the two studs that hold the top cover in position. We do not see how this can be avoided with the present arrangement of plain and grover washer. We do feel that oil leak from these studs may show itself in service, and we suggest that some alterations should be made at this point. It is suggested that we delete the grover washer and use cap nuts. Will you please let me have your views on the matter. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} | ||
