RED LAMP IGNITION WARNING LIGHT. We notice on the two schemes of R.R. dynamo voltage regulators the red lamp is arranged to be operated by separate contacts on the back of the cut-out armature. The usual scheme is to connect this lamp across the cut out points so that when the engine is rotating slowly or stationary the lamp light from the battery through the dynamo windings. The operation of the cut-out then simply short-circuits the lamp. Another pair of contacts on the cut-out regulator unit are thus avoided. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
